At the end of last month, the Dutch Public Prosecution Service opened a criminal investigation into five reports of possible criminal offences. Four people associated with the program and against whom a report has been made have been identified as suspects, the Public Prosecution Service said.
Sébas Diekstra, the lawyer who represents the victims, now says that a former candidate of “The Voice of Holland” is going to file a report against “a man who worked in production”. According to the lawyer, only a report had previously been made. There is a legal distinction in the Netherlands: a report does not in principle lead to a criminal investigation, but a report can lead to it.
