The Minister of Health of the province of Buenos Aires, Nicolás KreplakHe assured this Friday that “The cases of coronavirus are increasing by 35 or 40% compared to the previous week”although he clarified that, so far, this has not translated into an increase in hospitalizations, and pHe asked the population to reinforce the vaccination scheme with the third and fourth doses in the context of rising infections.
“There is an increase in cases because that subvariant BA.2 of the Omicron circulates, each case is no longer tested, but there is an epidemiological surveillance system that allows us to make a series of points that do statistical monitoring and mark which is increasing 35 or 40% compared to the previous week,” the minister said in statements made to Delta radio.
He clarified that, despite the rise, there is no increase “still at speeds as it was in January and we still do not see an increase in hospitalizations“.
