The official instagram account of the General Motors design studio shared a sketch of a mysterious sports car that is a bit like the latest generation Chevrolet Corvette. And that, of course, aroused the media and fans to all sorts of speculations about what that might mean.

Many fans of the American brand Cadillac will remember the XLR model and also the fact that technically – except for the engine, which had an XLR of its own – it was a Chevrolet Corvette gen. C6. And also the fact that in 2002 Cadillac introduced a concept called Cien with a twelve-cylinder stored in the middle.

There was nothing to the disappointment of the fans, and no one has thought about the Cadillac with the engine in the middle since then, or at least not in public. Until now, when the above-mentioned sketch appeared.

Fulfilling the idea of the creators of the price and the spiritual successor of XLR, which could be a luxury grand tourer in the manner of a McLaren GT, would not have to be completely unprecedented. The finished car, whatever its name might be, could have an engine in the middle, but at the same time be able to transport two people across half the continent quickly and in complete comfort. Of course, apart from the sketch, nothing is official and everything is just conjecture and pious wishes.
