Alan Franco, midfielder for Charlotte FC and the Ecuadorian soccer team, assured on Friday May 6 that he has been preparing “since he was a child” to crown his dream of playing in a World Cup representing his country.
“One always says since childhood ‘one day I would like to play a World Cup’, and the truth is that one prepares for that. Several years have passed since my debut. But in these last Qualifiers I have always been in the national team and It is something that is very beautiful, that is gratifying“Franco detailed in an interview with the American MLS.
“Being at the gates of the World Cup hoping to be considered is something very important for the career of one and It is something that continues to motivate us and continues to inspire us.“, he added.
Franco, who was champion of the Copa Sudamericana in 2019 with Independiente del Valle, arrived in MLS this year and joined Spanish coach Miguel Ángel Ramírez, with which he already triumphed in Ecuador.
Regular in the Ecuadorian national team, Franco expressed his motivation for Qatar 2022in which his team is drawn with the Netherlands, Senegal and the host Qatar.
