Arkane Studios (Prey, Dishonored and Deathloop) were actually going to launch a Half-Life game.
Ravenholm was to be a Half-Life game from French Arkane
The working name was Ravenholm, but the game was never launched because the development (which took place between 2006 and 2007) was too late and in the end the project cost too much money. It is also possible that the platform was more than old, and that they found that they could not launch it for that reason if they saw that it would take much longer than planned.
It is Noclip that produces game documentaries that have been allowed by the developers to show large parts of the unfinished game. There are a number of “placeholders” here and much else that show that the development suddenly stopped.
New weapons
The focus in Ravenholm is more towards survival and small tasks you have to solve and you can play with electricity.
Even though they never finished the project, it’s hard not to feel a little cheated (parts of it are surprisingly complete), because when you see the video below you really want to go back to the Half-Life universe, but we have given up holding their breath.
