DoorDash expands the shared kitchen concept in New York City. DoorDash Kitchens Brooklyn is focused on delivery, offering takeout and novelty that it also serves indoor dining in a dining room with limited seating.
The company notes that DoorDash Kitchens in Nimbus is a kitchen that unites five select local, regional and national restaurants under one roof: Domodomo, Kings Co. Imperial, Pies ‘n’ Thighs, Moonbowls y Little Caesars.
Each of these restaurants has a different menu than the food hall with home delivery. “A vegetarian customer might enjoy plates of moonbowls, while a diner looking for a delicious southern meal might enjoy a plate of Pies ‘n’ Thighs,” reports DoorDash.
In addition to the main restaurants, there are also drinks from Birch Coffee, pastries from Kado Patisri, and treats from Milk Bar.
DoorDash Kitchens Brooklyn is located at 383 Bridge Street It has a dining room with capacity for 20 people that is in service from 7 am to 10 pm.
“Customers in Dumbo, Park Slope, Cobble Hill, Fort Greene, Brooklyn Heights, Gowanus, Clinton Hill and Prospect Heights will now be able to enjoy delivery from these unique restaurants (anyone in the area can order for pickup), many of which are expanding to Brooklyn for the first time,” says DoorDash.
As a promotion for the opening of DoorDash Kitchens Brooklyn, customers can get 30% off their first order for pickup or delivery of each of the main concepts of DoorDash Kitchens Brooklyn from now until May 31, 2022. To redeem the discount, they must enter a unique promotional code at checkout.
Delivery services like DoorDash emerged as a service to deliver restaurant food at home to people, then virtual kitchens were born which subsequently received food from different restaurants. To get to a full service kitchen that in addition to serving food from multiple restaurants has space to sit down and have people dine there.
DoorDash Kitchens began operating its first kitchen in 2019 in Redwood City, California.and later opened a location in North Hollywood to fuel the growth of partner restaurants.
The DoorDash Kitchens concept also plans to reopen a full-service kitchen in San Jose, California.
