Police, Bodø Airport | Moved out to an incident at Bodø airport

Avisa Nordland has received a tip that the airport in Bodø is closed after “an incident”.

– Flights from Wizz Air, with destination Harstad / Narvik airport, had to stop over in Bodø to refill. Four passengers, who had Bodø as their destination, got off the plane without permission. The police are on the scene and in control, the police in Nordland report.

Task leader Jon Inge Moen is on site. He tells AN reporter Kristoffer Brasetvik Dverset that the doors were opened in connection with the stopover.

– We receive a message from the airport that a plane from Wizz Air, which has flown from Gdansk, has a stopover in Bodø for refueling. In connection with the stopover, the doors have been opened, and in that connection, some passengers have gotten out of the plane, Moen says.

– They were going to Evenes and be cleared through customs there, but these are passengers who live in Bodø. They have then taken out, we now have control over them, and they will be reported for it, the task leader continues.

The four were discharged, but then the plane had to take off and the police had to be called back. There were two new passengers who had become agitated on the plane, and Wizz Air did not want to have them on board.

The police handcuffed the two passengers from the airport.

– They are reported, so we have to get back to what happens to them and get a little overview. For now, it seems calm on the plane, and they are making a new attempt to get north. We have people who stand and watch, says task leader Moen.
