A miniseries from the Voyo Original workshop called Iveta maps the period of her life from her school years to the Velvet Revolution, when she was twenty-three years old. It will premiere on Nova Voyo on May 6.

Screenwriter and director Michal Samir confirmed that he negotiated the shooting with Iveta Bartošová’s son Artur Štaidl, who had no reservations. Through Arthur, the creators also received the consent of the singer’s mother.

Iveta Bartošová grew up in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm together with her older brother Lumír and twin Ivana. She sang at a folk art school since she was a child, and first made a big breakthrough in 1983, when she won the district round of the Talent singing competition in Nový Jičín. This was followed by advancement to the regional round in Třinec and the Golden Lute competition, which took second place in both competitions.
–
Iveta could also add to the list of successes at the Mladá píseň Jihlava festival. Here she met Petr Sepéši, with whom she sang the then successful hits Červenám, Knoflíky lásky or Medové dny. The miniseries map it all and offer it to the audience.

Iveta Bartošová is played by Anna Fialová, Petr Sepéši by Vojtěch Vodochodský. Both are not only similar to them, but they sing very well. Sister Ivana will be played by Eliška Křenková and their mother Alena Mihulová.
