Prof. Plamen Mollov and Violeta Komitova among the founders of Yanev’s party (Updated)

The former caretaker Prime Minister convened the Initiative Committee for the Establishment of “Bulgarian Rise”

The ex-MP from NMSS and rector of UFT Prof. Plamen Mollov, the former acting regional minister Violeta Komitova, the head of the Board of Tourism Poli Karastoyanova are among the founders of the new party of Stefan Yanev. The former caretaker Prime Minister gathered the Initiative Committee for the establishment of “Bulgarian Rise” in a hotel in Sofia.

Today is a good day, because in the Bulgarian political space the connection between the parties and the civil society is broken and our ambition is to fill this vacuum so that the party life meets the needs and desires of the people for better governance. This was stated by Yanev before the start.

At the core of the new party are also the former Deputy Minister of War and head of Yanev’s political cabinet as caretaker Prime Minister Ralitsa Simeonova, his adviser in the Council of Ministers Dancho Bonchev, Georgi Samandov – Deputy Minister of Energy and Nikolay Koev, who was media adviser from the office.

Economist Kolyo Paramov and Yolo Denev were among those gathered in the hall for the Initiative Committee.

“Bulgarian Rise” will be a new, meaningful and useful formation for the society, Yanev vowed. And he announced that he was giving a new beginning to Bulgarian politics, demonstrating how each party should work – by reflecting people’s attitudes. We will work close to the people, close to them, promised the future leader. And it guarantees that the positions of members and supporters will be taken into account. The team is important – more to talk about “us”, less about “me”, he explained.

Yanev explained that the creation of the party is not an end in itself. We do not do it for ego or fame, because each of us has achieved enough, he has proven himself as a professional in their fields, he explained.

We do it because they left us no choice. Salvation alone is not possible. Tomorrow it becomes more and more unclear and uncertain for our children, that is why we are here, added the former caretaker Prime Minister.

We are in another national catastrophe, and we are not even at war. Our country is in a difficult situation. Faced with crises, she can no longer rely on people who are not capable, Yanev was adamant. He explained that this political irresponsibility, which is leading the country to the bottom, can no longer be tolerated. Criticizing that there is no system in the country that is functioning properly at the moment.

The national interest is most important. Yanev is convinced that it should be expressed not only in foreign policy, but also in policies in the country. Therefore, the basic principles of the new formation will be: the management of the law, which is the most important for an effective policy; an independent judiciary is not just a roof; effective representative governing bodies; privately acquired private property is inviolable. The new formation will seek a balanced foreign policy.

Yanev explained that “Bulgarian Rise” is not another party, but an authentic formation with a key role to be a bridge between citizens and state authorities.

The vineyard will not be a prayer, but a hoe, he said, and turned candidly to those gathered in the hall: We have a very difficult and often ungrateful job ahead of us.

The future leader was adamant that no compromises would be made with people driven by selfish and personal goals and ambitions. And honest and open people to the cause of Bulgaria will be tolerated.

Yanev explained to the media that they are more often looking for like-minded people in the sector of national conservatism, who share values related to family, home, education, spirituality – with this culturally identical move of the Bulgarian, preserved over the centuries.

After the meeting of the Initiative Committee, a Constituent Assembly of “Bulgarian Rise” will be held, for which 500 founders must gather. A list of 2,500 members is required by law to register with the court.
