He will work remotely from his home, the State Department said, AFP reported.
“Blinken is fully vaccinated and has a booster dose,” the department said in a statement.
The Secretary of State is currently experiencing mild symptoms.
“The secretary will be isolated at home and will maintain a virtual work schedule. He looks forward to returning to work and resuming his full duties and travel as soon as possible,” the State Department said in a statement.
