Frankfurt / Main (dpa) – Eintracht Frankfurt is worried about the use of offensive player Jesper Lindström before the semi-finals of the Europa League. The 22-year-old Dane recently suffered a thigh injury and could be out in the second leg against West Ham United on Thursday evening (9 p.m. / RTL). “It will be a photo finish for Jesper,” said head coach Oliver Glasner, who sees a “big question mark” over the use of his regular player. The Austrian named several ways to compensate for a failure.

Glasner and captain Sebastian Rode are looking forward to the game in front of 48,500 spectators with great anticipation. “The location is very nice. The weather is very nice and we are very excited and looking forward to the second leg,” said Glasner, whose team previously threw FC Barcelona and Betis Sevilla out of the Europa League. Rode said: “The game is very important. Some games have been played internationally, but this is an absolute highlight.” The final will take place in Seville on May 18, a German final against RB Leipzig is conceivable.
