The Domaine Forget International Festival invites you to celebrate

Presented from June 25 to August 20, the 44th edition of the Domaine Forget International Festival will multiply the opportunities to celebrate.

For his last lap, artistic director Paul Fortin invited back the artists who thrilled him the most during the 11 years of his tenure at Domaine Forget. Time for a reunion with the public!

About sixty events will be presented in the concert hall. Among the highlights of the upcoming festival, the Domaine Forget will pay tribute to Joseph Rouleau, an illustrious singer who was also closely linked to the institution (June 25).

Charlevoix audiences will have the pleasure of hearing the Orchester Métropolitain under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin with, as guest soloist, the prodigious violist Antoine Tamestit on July 23.

The great Arts Without Borders weekend, presented from August 5 to 7, will dazzle with the presentation of a pop-symphony concert bringing together the Orchester symphonique de Québec, Marc Hervieux, Florence K and Laurence Jalbert.

A large free outdoor show with Ariane Moffatt, jazz, dance and world music is also on the program. For the closing concert on August 20, Domaine Forget will host Les Violons du Roy, conducted by Jonathan Cohen along with a myriad of artists of international caliber.

In addition, there are jazz evenings, two dance shows and, of course, the free activities of the Music and Dance Academy, including the Domaine sur la route.

Quebec tenor and host Marc Hervieux will act as the new spokesperson and ambassador for Domaine Forget.
He succeeds Marie-Nicole Lemieux who completed 10 years in this capacity. He will participate in the opening concert in tribute to his friend Joseph Rouleau and in the pop-symphony concert on August 6th.

“It will be an honor for me to introduce even more Quebecers to this prestigious institution, which has already had such a strong international reputation for 44 years now. I had the great pleasure of singing several times in this jewel that is the concert hall and, again this summer, I will find the public of the Domaine Forget twice rather than once, “said Marx Hervieux in a press release. .
