On May 4, the concert of the Latvian Radio Choir and conductor Sigvards Kļava “Mārtiņš Brauns – Latvija” will be performed in the Grand Guild and live on the radio “Klasika”.

Speaking about the concert program, Sigvards Kļava admits that it was planned for the celebration of November 18 and was cherished in close cooperation with Mārtiņš Brauns, who emphasized: “I want to honor my country and the memory of my parents ! ” Mārtiņš himself has created special instrumentations for the concert program and wished that it would not be “another concert of” Onion “songs”. That’s why the program includes the most beautiful Brown Choir songs, which show the composer’s versatile and subtle talent.

Sigvards does not hide that he is still in great pain when the composer leaves for eternity, because a personality like Mārtiņš Brauns is irreplaceable. “It is impossible to imitate Mārtiņš, just as it was not possible to imitate maestro Leonīds Vīgners. His wide smile, his snappy but friendly expression will be remembered forever, ”says Sigvards, who has become especially close to the composer over the past decade and calls him his fellow thinker. “Mārtiņš trusted me and took into account the opinion of my musician, therefore I consider this concert to be a return of a debt to a great spirit who has passed away in his world.”
