Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said that her party was conducting an investigation after three deaths in Jakarta. Community reports can assist the government in that investigation.
“Vigilance for cases of yellow fever and other gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, severe diarrhea, for the public to report immediately,” said Nadia via text message, Tuesday (3/5).
Nadia asked the health offices in all regions to be aware of this disease. He asked the health office to immediately investigate if there were reports from the public.
Regarding the case of the death of three children in Jakarta, Nadia said it was still under investigation. The Ministry of Health cooperates with the DKI Jakarta Health Office to examine the case.
“We are still conducting contact investigations and trying to get the specimens checked,” he said.
Previously, various countries reported mysterious Hepatitis. Around 200 children and adolescents around the world are reported to have this disease.
To date, there have been four cases of death in the world related to this disease. A total of three cases of which are in Jakarta.
