KFC workers accused of using customers’ credit and debit cards to make online purchases in Starke

The Bradford County Sheriff’s Office arrested KFC employee Markquerva Lumar for credit and debit card fraud in Starke, Fla. on April 21.

An investigation found that Lumar had used her phone to take photos and video of loyalty cards at the drive-through window. She would then find additional information from the internet to make online purchases on behalf of customers.

Using this method, Lumar amassed thousands of dollars in online purchases, according to BCSO, and left many victims of fraud.

The sheriff’s office believes there may be additional victims of credit or debit card fraud in this incident. If you experienced scams and made a purchase from KFC between April 16 and April 21, contact Det. Crews at 904-966-6370.

BCSO is warning the community to be cautious about using their credit and debit cards as similar incidents loom.
