The inhabitants of the village of Allauch are in shock and testify following the explosion which claimed the life of a man in his fifties, on the night of Sunday to Monday, and slightly injured two of his neighbors. Nine families were also supported by the town hall. “An expert is already on site but what is certain is that the thirty or so evacuees will not be able to return home this evening“, specifies the mayor, Lionel de Cala, whose services are mobilized to provide temporary accommodation.
According to the first elements, the explosion, which occurred on rue du Pilon, in the heart of the village, was caused by a gas cylinder in the victim’s apartment.
