Vasil Kaplanov – Kaplata from Dupnitsa was detained for 24 hours on the signal of the chairman of the motorcycle club “Inseparable Brothers” Dimitar Nedev.
Kaplanov is connected with the traceless disappearance of Yanek Milanov on July 31, 2020, from whom there is still no trace. The 43-year-old man was spotted getting into Kaplata’s car on the evening of the same date.
After the disappearance, the group “Where is Janek” appeared on social networks. It was Nedev who wrote in his post that Janek was last seen with Kaplanov. Then he received threatening messages from Kaplanov – “Your children will be orphaned.” The prosecutor’s office later accused him of these threats.
The next court hearing in this case is on May 11. After this case of threatening on social networks, Nedev filed dozens of complaints with the police in Dupnitsa, but received a reply that they were unfounded.
“My wife and little daughter and I were at the club house at about 3 pm on Sunday, where we received several Ukrainian refugees. We went to see them and feed the peacocks in the yard. The house is on the street and after we got out of the car, I saw Kaplanov’s car coming.

He immediately called 112 and went to the police. There they told him that they would detain Kaplanov under the Ministry of Interior Act and inform the prosecutor’s office.
“This is another threat against me and my wife. I have filed complaints many times, but to no avail. Twice I asked the court to issue a restraining order not to approach my family, but they refused me on the grounds that there was no reason. We are afraid of this man “, added Nedev.
Of all his complaints against Kaplanov, one has reached the court. The Dupnitsa District Court is hearing a case for threatening to kill Vasil Kaplanov against Dimitar Nedev.
“I am afraid that one day I will disappear and no one will see me again. I always carry my gun with me, I’ve never done that before. I am also afraid for my wife and children, I am already wondering if it makes sense to file more complaints, since there is no reaction from the authorities “, added Nedev.
