“This is like cattle transport.” An angry traveler made it clear to colleagues from NOS last Saturday that it was particularly busy at the largest airport in the Netherlands. During the May holidays, many Dutch people went abroad after 2 years of corona restrictions.
But the airport is struggling with a major staff shortage, precisely because of the corona pandemic. Many employees left when aviation was at a low ebb and never returned to their old workplace. And that resulted in impressive chaos in recent days.
