The accident involving a BMW S1000RR motorbike driver and an LCGC car driver occurred in the Senayan area, Jakarta, Sunday (1/5/2022). What is the chronology of the accident?

Information about this accident was uploaded to the Instagram account @tmcpoldametro, Sunday (1/5/2022). In the upload, it was informed that the accident involved an LCGC car with police number B 2224 SIC with a BMW motorcycle numbered B 4331 SNW.

The Head of Sub-Directorate for Gakkum Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya, AKBP Jamal Alam, explained that this accident occurred on Jalan Asia Afrika to the north, precisely in front of Senayan Avenue, South Jakarta area. The accident occurred on Sunday (1/5) around 10.00 WIB.

At that time, the LCGC Toyota Calya B-2224-SIC driven by MA was driving from north to south on Jalan Asia Afrika. Jamal said that MA was suspected of being careless so the car he was driving was hit by a BMW S1000RR driven by YPN.

“The MA drove from north to south on Jalan Asia Afrika, South Jakarta area. Arriving across Senayan Avenue, it was suspected that he was not careful and concentrated after turning right and heading towards the Senayan Avenue entrance so that the left side of the body was hit by a motorbike. The BMW B-4331-SNW driven by YPN was traveling from the south to the north,” said Jamal.

As a result of the traffic accident, both vehicles were damaged. The BMW motorbike driver, YPN, was unconscious after the accident and was bleeding. He was taken to Siloam Hospital and finally breathed his last while undergoing treatment.

“Died in hospital treatment,” said Jamal.
