In 2021, the number of RTV subscription payers was the lowest for many years. Poles are very reluctant to pay RTV subscription fees.

The economy is currently doing very badly – inflation is rising, gas and electricity prices are rising, and everyday purchases are also becoming more and more expensive. Unfortunately, from the New Year, the collection of fees for RTV subscription is also expected to increase.
Poczta Polska will not forgive people who do not pay for the RTV subscription. From persons who have not yet paid a subscription, officials, after verification, will call for a fee in the amount of 30 times the monthly subscription fee (24.50 x 30), i.e. PLN 735.

In a situation where we do not respond to the request for payment, the Tax Office will become interested in us after 7 days from the failure to fulfill the payment obligation. In 2021, tax offices across the country received over 100,000 applications for appropriate penalties for all debtors who evade the obligation to pay the subscription fee.
The application for enforcement issued by the Tax Office is then sent to the bailiff. On the other hand, the bailiff, by way of compulsory enforcement, seizes the funds on our account, salary or retirement benefits – if the debtor is entitled to them.
