The 1,429 school directors in Flemish education have received a salary increase on their most recent pay slip. That reports Flemish Minister of Education Ben Weyts (N-VA). This is the first phase of a gradual pay increase for principals in order to increase the pay gap with a regular teacher. “It will now literally pay more to take on the responsibility of a school director,” Weyts said.
