Where Putin will break his head. Historian’s forecast

With his gambling actions, Russian President Putin has put the future of the whole of Russia at stake, and so far things are not going well.

Sergei Lavrov’s words that Moldovans should worry about their future could mean that there will be organized action in Moldova. We see preparations for such a military operation.

Andrei Zubov, a Russian historian, political scientist and philosopher, commented on this to bTV. He works as a professor of philosophy. In 2014, he was disciplined for criticizing the Russian government and actions in Crimea.

“On the one hand, there are pseudo-terrorist attacks in order to show that the population of Transnistria is in danger. On the other hand, is the destruction of the bridge over the Dniester Estuary, which connects Ukraine with this element between the Danube and Dniester rivers. All this means that there may be an attempt to send a landing between these two rivers to Ukraine and, accordingly, to enter from both the east and the south of Transnistria.

This seems very implausible, because at the moment Russia is not successful on the main front in Donbass. This necessitates the creation of another front with such complex means of communication as in Moldova. This is a huge military-logistical mistake. As for the political plan, the Kremlin is discussing in Moscow the idea that Moldova should be included in Putin’s future plan to create a new Soviet Union, “he explained.

According to him, Putin would gain nothing and lose a lot: “He would put Romania in a war, given the fact that Moldova and Romania are one people. Romania would not sit idly by watching the conquest of Moldova. Involving Romania in this conflict would automatically mean involving NATO. There are those who want to go to war with NATO. Putin himself understands that such a war would be an absolute disaster for Russia.
