Hear-Tip: #medienmetoo cases always attract the most attention when the specific names of the accused are mentioned, explains the investigative journalist Juliane Loeffler (Photo) in the podcast “Pressure Equalization” with Annkathrin Weis and Luca Schmitt-Walz. Another problem is that journalists “know exactly what public means”. Accordingly, they are more careful before they talk openly about experiences of sexism and then possibly find themselves exposed to hostilities. Löffler calls the “innocence debate” that took place after Reichelt’s research “irritating” – despite extensive evidence of his misconduct.
