jpnn.com, MANILA – The 2022 Badminton Asia Championship (BAC) has entered the final round.
The top five matches will be held today, Sunday (1/5), at Muntinlupa Sports Complex, Manila, Philippines, starting at 12.00 WIB.
In total, there will be two Indonesian representatives who will show off, namely Jonatan Christie (men’s singles) and Pramudya Kusumawardana/Yeremia Erich Yoche Rambitan (men’s doubles).
In the 2022 BAC final, Jojo – his best friend Jonathan Christie– will meet the test of Malaysia’s best single son, Lee Zii Jia.
Judging from the meeting record, Jojo is actually 4-1 ahead of Lee Zii Jia. However, in the last meeting, the 2018 Asian Games gold winner was defeated in the first round of the All England 2020 with a score of 15-21, 13-21.
On the other hand, Pramudya / Jeremiah will also face representatives from Malaysia, namely Aaron Chia / Soh Wooi Yik.
This is the couple’s first meeting. So, the match is certain to be exciting and fierce because Pramudya / Jeremiah and Aaron / Soh are both still feeling the strength of the opponent.
Besides, there are still three final matches BAC 2022 another, namely the duel Akane Yamaguchi (Japan) vs. Wang Zhi Yi (China) in the women’s singles sector.
