Sarcelles: a 21-year-old injured with a stab wound

Scene of violence on Avenue du 8-Mai-1945 in Sarcelles. This Sunday, February 13, in the afternoon, a brawl took place near the T5 Les Cholettes tram station. A 21-year-old man was seriously injured in the stomach. His attackers allegedly stabbed him several times.

Emergency services arrived on the scene a few moments later. The victim was rushed to the Gonesse hospital center by an ambulance from the Mobile Emergency and Resuscitation Service.

Conflicts within the Pakistani community

It would be the result of conflicts within the Pakistani community. The young man who was attacked would have himself committed violence of this type previously. This would have earned him a conviction, following which he served a prison sentence that had just ended. It could therefore be a matter of revenge on the part of his victims.

In addition, this violence could be linked to the trafficking of cigarettes at Garges-Sarcelles station. Last May, police officers from the town’s police station got their hands on a large stock of contraband cigarettes. They had seized nearly 100 cartridges and arrested a semi-wholesaler, originally from Bangladesh, who supplied several sellers. He had been given a six-month suspended prison sentence and a fine of 96,000 euros, the value of the goods seized.
