“Poor distribution of the load” according to the company Vacher

In a press release on social networks, the Vacher company, one of whose trucks overturned on Tuesday morning in Lavoûte-sur-Loire, apologized to “all those who were disturbed by this incident. », the RD 103 having been cut for almost 4 hours.

“Very loaded on one side by heavy mowing”

The company provides details as to the origin of the loss of control suffered by the driver, who is unscathed. “The cause of this rollover is the poor distribution of the load at the tipper. Indeed, when it is filled with green waste in a recycling center, it is heavily loaded on one side, in particular by mowing which weighs very heavy, and little on the other side (mainly by branches which weigh nothing). Suddenly the filling seems homogeneous but it is not. It’s a phenomenon known to us but which does not prevent us from being caught sometimes. We are working to prevent the consequences (training, information, etc.). »

The company also excludes any excessive speed and recalls that it has not had to pay any speeding fines throughout 2021: “As everything happened at the regulation speed, the truck did not have too much suffered either, except for the cabin, which will have to be changed,” the press release concludes.
