Loreto, Baja California Sur. (OEM-Informex).- In order to know the opinion and feelings of the business-tourism sector, of the Municipality of Loreto, the federal tourism director Miguel Torruco Marqués, accompanied by the Governor of the State, Víctor Castro Cosío and the mayor Lorena Paola Cota Davis, held a working meeting with representatives of the same, within the framework of the working tour of Baja California Sur.
During the work meeting that lasted just over two hours in the events room of a well-known hotel in the center of Loreto, the secretary of tourism, announced the strategies and actions that are being implemented by the Federal Government, in tourism matters , seeking to consolidate and detonate different regions that have tourism potential.
Citing as an example some of the actions that have been undertaken in different parts of our country, Torruco Marqués stressed that through consensus with the members of this sector in Baja California Sur, actions will have to be carried out to enhance the attributes of the State , for its consolidation as a tourist destination.
Using her voice, the municipal president of Loreto, Paola Cota Davis, who opened the meeting by welcoming all attendees, thanked the Federal and State Government for the support they are providing to Loreto, where she said we are committed to its harmonious and sustainable development, which allows local families to achieve better standards of living, for which he promised to give all his support in this regard.
Similarly, the Governor of the State, Professor Víctor Castro Cosío, called on all those present to leave behind vices and old practices, which only delay the development and progress of a region, marginalizing a large part of the population, inviting them to join with a single objective to bring Loreto to the development and growth that we all desire, where the benefits to the general public.
For their part, representatives of the private initiative and tourism sector of Loreto, briefly explained to the authorities present the most pressing needs in the region in terms of infrastructure and momentum for the consolidation of this tourist destination and its positioning in the different markets.

After the meeting, the representatives of the three levels of Government continued with the work agenda, to carry out a tour of the Historic Town of San Javier, where some issues and projects were put on the table to continue consolidating the Loreto product, of comprehensive way.
In the afternoon of the same in the historic center of Loreto, after having made a tour of the Salvatierra walkway, to reach the square of the same name in front of the Loreto Mission, the Secretary of Federal Tourism, Miguel Torruco, the president Víctor Castro, the mayor of La Paz Milena Quiroga and the host municipal president of Loreto, Paola Cota Davis, were witnesses of honor of the ratification of this beautiful place with the Magical Town distinction within the framework of the 10th anniversary of its appointment.
To end the work tour, the mayors of La Paz and Loreto, Milena Quiroga and Paola Cota, signed the act of twinning the magical towns of Todos Santos and Loreto, with the federal secretary of tourism and the governor as honorary witnesses.
