Monday, May 2, Lucien will celebrate his 97th birthday with his wife Elida, who is only 96. Lucien was born in Fabrègues in 1925 to work as a locksmith, Lucien found work in Bédarieux in 1946. On Sundays, with his friends from work, they go on their bikes to dance at Le Bousquet d’Orb, in a hangar that serves as a ballroom, that’s where he meets Elida, it was love at first sight. “But my beautiful Elida did not look at me, Lucien tells us. To make myself seen, I deflated a tire on her bike, then I drove her home! And that’s how our love story began. We remained engaged for more than a year and in September 1947, we got married, we had 2 children and since then we have not left each other.”. We wish Lucien a happy birthday.
