On April 26, the 13th edition of the Peruvian Film Festival in Paris ended. For a week, the French public appreciated the evolution of national cinema in Le Lincoln cinema, located in the Champs-Élysées district of Paris. The Festival had the support of the Embassy of Peru in the French Republic.- Their respective directors were present at the screenings of feature films, documentaries and short films, who, at the end of the screening, spoke with the attendees, including film producers and distributors.- The jury made up of producer Julie Bergeron, filmmakers Douglas Beer and Santiago Otheguy, and French actress Moana Ferré, awarded the festival’s grand prize ‘Soleil Tournant’ to the feature film ‘Manco Cápac’ by Henry Vallejo and to the documentary ‘El Canto de las Butterflies’ by Nuria Frigola Torrent.- The winning short film was ‘Incommovible’ by Adrián Portugal, with a special mention for ‘Where the light does not arrive’ by Sebastián Plasencia. This result was given by the jury made up of the filmmaker Alessia Chiesa, the writer Paul Baudry and the actress Silvia Massegur.- One of the films that did well at the box office during the Festival was ‘A World for Julius’ by Rossana Díaz Costa, which is why Le Lincoln will keep it on the billboard for one more week. —
