As reported by the German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach, the average temperature in Berlin was 8.6 degrees, slightly above the long-term average of 8.4 degrees. The nationwide mean temperature was 7.8 degrees. With 30 liters of precipitation per square meter, however, it remained too dry compared to the average of 40 liters. The sun was sighted for a good 185 hours. That was more than the long-term average of 161 hours. The sunniest region in Germany in April was Schleswig-Holstein with around 235 hours of sunshine.
