Before KFC Uerdingen’s guest appearance at league leaders Preußen Münster, who want to return to the third division with all their might after relegation a year ago, there are a few questions about the guests’ resistance: will they pull themselves together again or will they present as a harmless supplier of points? It is prepared for a big game and an atmospheric evening. More than 11,000 spectators are expected to watch the floodlit game on Friday evening (7:30 p.m.). For Uerding it will be the last game in such a setting for a long time, for some players it may even be a one-off, last appearance in such a full stadium. “All the ingredients for a great night of football are there,” says Uerdingen’s coach Alexander Voigt. “With such a constellation, there is actually no need for a motivational speech at all.”
