Men on abandoned property lead officers to cannabis farm

Two men who noticed suspicious behavior on an otherwise deserted site in Oisterwijk, led the police to a cannabis farm and items that can be used for a cannabis farm. Both men have been arrested.

A witness saw the two men walking on the complex that used to be the recreation center Piet Enjoy, on the Vennenlaan in Oisterwijk. The police were tipped off. There are a number of buildings on the site that are on the list to be demolished.

Hidden on the roof
The report was sufficient reason for the police to comb the area. Several cars came to the Vennenlaan. One suspect was soon arrested. The other suspect was hiding on the roof of one of the buildings. He was spotted by the police helicopter and was also arrested.

During the further investigation of the site, items were found that could be used for a cannabis farm. A nursery was also found in operation. Cuttings were probably repotted there: 50 to 75 cuttings were ready.

It is not clear whether the two men who were arrested also have anything to do with the cannabis farm.
