The collaboration between Samsung and the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza allows users to enjoy in their homes new works by authors such as Monet, Renoir or Kandinsky, among which Gauguin’s “Mata Mua” stands out, one of the essential works of the Collection carmen thyssen
Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. and the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza have announced the inclusion of 15 new works of art from the Carmen Thyssen Collection, which become part of the Museum’s current collection in The Frame Art Store, which has now with a total of 68 works. This expansion of the collection is the result of the agreement recently reached by the Government of Spain and Baroness Thyssen and which will allow the rental of works from the Carmen Thyssen Collection to be maintained at the Museum for the next 15 years.
The Samsung Art Store borders on the 1,500 artistic works of the most prestigious museums in the world, to be able to observe directly from the living room of your house. This service offered by Samsung is available in more than a hundred countries, through single purchase or monthly subscription models, and has more than one million subscribers.
Samsung’s collaboration with the Thyssen Museum turns four years old in 2022, and totals sixty-eight different pieces. Among the new works included in the collection, some stand out such as Field of Wheat —the work of the impressionist Pierre Auguste Renoir from 1879—, The House among the Roses —by Claude Monet, which shows the artist’s house in Giverny seen frontally from the garden, among many others.
In addition to the works mentioned, the famous painting by Gauguin “Mata Mua” is also included, the painting owned by Baroness Carmen Thyssen that is included in her collection on display at the Thyssen Museum. The post-impressionist painting was recognized by the painter himself as “one of the best I have painted” in 1892. “Mata Mua” means “first” in Tahitian, the place that inspired the painter in the realization of one of the most important works of the.

The Frame is designed to be a TV when it’s on and an art gallery when it’s off. Thanks to Samsung’s collaborations with different cultural entities, this television allows users to discover more than 1,400 works and photographs by various authors in 4K quality. Thanks to this, users can access artistic works from reference museums and galleries around the world such as the Prado Museum, the Tate Modern in London, the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg or the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, among others.
