KOMPAS.com – Upload a video about the Damri bus fleet being forced to get off the ferry at the crossing Peacock Harbor, Banten viral on social media.
The video was uploaded by the account this on Tuesday (26/4/2022).
In the video, the uploader questioned the cause of the Damri bus fleet that had to be unloaded from the ferry.
“I don’t know this, boo, the rules of the Department of Transportation don’t understand me“explained one of the Damri bus officers in the video.
Bus officers also regretted the incident because it could cause trouble for the community. The reason, he mentioned that 3 Damri bus fleets were forced to get off the ship.

Damri’s explanation
Meanwhile, Damri’s Plt Corporate Secretary Siti Inda Suri confirmed that the Damri bus fleet was forced to disembark from the ferry on Tuesday (26/4/2022) night.
“Yes, our 3 buses had to be unloaded from the ship,” he said, when contacted Kompas.com, Wednesday (27/4/2022).
Siti said that several of the Damri buses that were about to cross to Bakauheni Port, Lampung, had entered the ship. But the buses had to be unloaded from the ship.

The decline in Damri’s bus fleet is thought to be because the ship has exceeded the load limit.
The Damri bus fleet had to be taken down for reasons of passenger and ship safety.
The three Damri buses were finally dispatched after the next ship arrived at Merak Harbor.

The Ministry of Transportation adds ships
Meanwhile, Director General of Land Transportation of the Ministry of Transportation Budi Setiyadi said he was coordinating with the Directorate General of Land Transportation and PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
