In 2018, she left politics to join the private sector. Today, former minister Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet lives in New York with her children, far from French political life. She works for the French company Antin, an investment fund dedicated to infrastructure. NKM is a “senior partner”, notably in charge of the “infrastructures of tomorrow” (recharging of electric vehicles, recycling plants, etc.)

In the streets of New York, near Bryant Park, she is interrupted as she is about to enter a skyscraper. “You know very well that whatever I say will be interpreted.” However, the former Minister of State for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing Nicolas Sarkozy agrees to discuss. “I don’t want to talk about French politics, I’m involved in my work here in New York,” she explains. New attempt: “It is in particular because you are familiar with the files on ecology that your name is mentioned” (to be Emmanuel Macron’s new prime minister, editor’s note). She won’t comment.

We then talk about her “new life”: for four years, she has lived in Manhattan with her children, she now has her habits. “At the height of the Covid, it was difficult as for all expatriates, we felt the loneliness even more, now it’s fine”, she confides at the microphone of RTL. While she is at the heart of many discussions in Parisian offices, the former politician joins her New York office, far from speculation.
