Telenet subscriptions will become 4.7 percent more expensive from June: “Consequent of high inflation”

Remarkable: Telenet’s shareholders also decided today that the compensation ceiling for independent directors at Telenet will be abolished. This means that from now on they can receive more than 24,500 euros per year in attendance fees for meetings of the board of directors.

Telenet had proposed to its shareholders to remove the attendance fee ceiling for directors who do not sit on behalf of the American main shareholder Liberty Global. The independent directors receive a fixed remuneration of 45,000 euros, or 120,000 euros for the chairman, but also 3,500 euros per meeting of the board of directors.

Until now, the sum of these attendance fees could amount to a maximum of 24,500 euros per year. That ceiling will therefore disappear, even with retroactive effect from 1 January 2021.
