Škoda resumes production of enyaqu – Novinky.cz

The brand’s first purely electric SUV is manufactured at its main plant in Mladá Boleslav, and production capacity will gradually increase after the shutdown. Now the deliveries of the necessary parts are secured again.

In the long term, the plant in Mladá Boleslav will produce up to 370 Enyaq iV and Enyaq Coupé iV cars per day.

At the end of March, Škoda delivered around 45,000 enyaqs to customers, but since its introduction, it has already registered orders for 115,000 cars.

Due to the war in Ukraine, Škoda also recently stopped all activities, including the production of its models at the Russian plants in Kaluga and Nizhny Novgorod. Last year, the carmaker sold 90,400 cars in Russia.

Due to the shortage of semiconductors and the coronavirus pandemic, the carmaker delivered 878,200 cars to customers worldwide last year, which is 12.6 percent less year on year. The lack of chips meant that Škoda did not produce 280,000 cars.

Take a look at the current offer of new and used cars Škoda and Sauto.cz.
