The Teguise Judo Club adds its first victories in the Men’s First Division League | Sports

Villaviciosa de Odon

The Teguise Lanzarote Judo Club has once again started its role in the 2022 Men’s First Division League, premiered at the Villaviciosa de Odón Pavilion, in Madrid. On the first day, the conejeros achieved victory against Ciudad de Almería (0-5) and against JC Getafe (2-3), reaping the first defeat against the Club Judo Fontenebro from Madrid (2-0).

These results leave Teguise’s judo team after the start of the league in a good position in the national judo elite table with 4 points, tied on points with JC Sotillo, JC Getafe, the Móstoles Judo Association and CDE Judo Fontenebro, ahead of JC Stabia with 7 points and, with 8 points and solo leaders, Valencia Club de Judo.

On the second day, the only representative from the Canary Islands in the first division of the Liga Nacional de Clubs will face JC Sotillo, JC Akari, Girona Judo and Ronin.

According to the team’s coach, Alejandro Ramírez, it has been a day that “we have finished with good feelings, a good debut in the highest national division that, as always, is very hard for a team from the Canary Islands, hard but satisfying. We fell to good judokas, worthy opponents. Congratulations to all, staff and technicians, with special regards to Diego Fernández Campillo, absent due to illness. Neither Alexis Rosa Moya nor Alberto Gaitero Martin could compete due to a knee injury, reserving for the European Championship next week in Sofia. Good result in general that we will try to improve in the four games that we will play on the next day of the 7th. The objective is clear, to continue representing the Canary Islands and Lanzarote and obtain a better result than the 2021 season where we finished fifth in the Champions League ”, concludes Alejandro Ramírez.
