Vehicle was trapped in a ravine due to rains in Florida

The regional governor, Claudio Orrego, and the mayor of the commune, Rodolfo Carter, went to the scene and helped the driver of the affected car.

On Tuesday night, they recorded flooding in houses located in the Santa Sofia creek of Lo Cañas, in the commune of La Florida, due to the channel overflow product of sistema frontal that hit the country.

Emergency crews went to the site and assisted a driver whose vehicle got stuck in the mud product of the event.

The regional governor also arrived at the place, Claudio Orregoand the mayor of the commune, Rodolfo Carterwho assisted the driver.

The communal authority reported that “massive flooding occurred in the commune of La Florida and in all the communes of the southeast of Santiago“.

In turn, the mayor reported that No deaths were recorded as a result of this emergency.

For his part, Claudio Orrego called on citizens not to expose themselves to rainfall until the frontal system is finished, in order to protect people’s safety.
