Use Deezer for free – This is how the streaming service is financed
Deezer has a music library with more than 70 million songs. The streaming service has thus become Spotify’s popular competitor. Just like Spotify, users have an opportunity to enjoy music streaming completely free. However, some losses in terms of functionality of the service have to be accepted:-
- Deezer is ad-supported in the free version. So you’ll get commercials from time to time. However, these are not particularly long-lasting and the playlist continues to run normally relatively quickly.
- However, you cannot play playlists or albums in order. In the free version, Deezer only works with the shuffle function – songs are skipped over and over again, while other songs are played very frequently.
- The free Deezer version also lacks an offline function. So you can only listen to music with a working internet connection and have to reckon with constant data consumption.
Deezer: Paid subscription alternatives
If these losses are too annoying for you, you also have the option of taking out a paid subscription. You currently have the following options with Deezer:
- Deezer Premium: The standard version costs 10.99 euros per month and is particularly suitable for a single user.
- Deezer Family: With this subscription, up to six people can take advantage of the premium subscription. The cost of this option is 17.99 euros per month.
- You can test these subscriptions on Spotify for 30 days free of charge to see whether the offer is worthwhile for you. All subscriptions can be canceled at any time and are therefore particularly flexible.
- You also get an offline mode, ad-free music and audiobook playing, and the ability to play playlists and albums from the start.
