Bolsonaro highlighted the initiatives of the Brazilian Agricultural Research Company (Embrapa) to increase wheat production and anticipated that national production could reach 23 million tons. Brazil currently harvests about 7 million tons and covers domestic consumption (12 million tons) with imports.
