The Joyce Roy Productions company, through its head, the actor, producer and theater director, Joyce Roy, announced the Comprehensive Musical Theater Workshop.
With a duration of three months, the workshop will take place from Saturday, May 7 to July 30 of this current year, from 10:00 in the morning to 1:00 in the afternoon, at the Escuela Nueva School ( CEN). Located on Benigno Filomeno de Rojas Street, Santo Domingo.
The classes will be taught by Joyce Roy himself (Godspell, The Addams Family, Once On This Island, Company, among others); the choreographer, dancer and teacher Valentina Grillo (Tilín Tilón, Godspell, Premios Soberano, Festival Bailemos, among others); and the actor, singer and teacher Alejandro Espino (Godspell, The Addams Family, Company, Jesus Christ Superstar, among others).
Roy assured that this workshop will provide participants with the necessary tools to understand and enter the world of singing, dance and acting, focused on musical theater.
“Through individual and collective work, we will lead each participant to discover the skills, strengthen their strengths and understand the necessary aspects that will allow them to function in this particular and demanding job such as musical theater,” he said.
The minimum age to participate is 15 years old and it is not necessary to have previous experience.
