Several cars were destroyed at the Nieuwe Jachthaven in Drimmelen yesterday evening. The mirrors of the cars were smashed. Two men have been arrested for the vandalism, police said this morning. It concerns a 27-year-old man from Raamsdonkveer and a 24-year-old man from Oosterhout.
The two were initially detained by some bystanders who saw the vandalism take place. They alerted the police who then came to arrest the two. That happened a little after half past eight. The man from Oosterhout tried to escape. Bystanders prevented that. One of them, a man, was punched in the face. De Oosterhouter is therefore also suspected of assault.
