The styrofoam on the facade of the building of the Macedonian government has started to fall, the MP from the ruling SDSM Stefan Bogoev warned, quoted by Club Z.
Exactly eight years ago, the government of Nikola Gruevski (VMRO-DPMNE), who was sentenced to seven years in prison a few days ago and is hiding in Hungary, paid 17.6m euros for a new facade of the building to give it an antique look in unison. with the then state concept of the ancient Greek origin of the Macedonian people.
Today, the Greco-Roman, or baroque styrofoam façade, poses a danger to citizens and government officials.
The collapse comes days after the Skopje prosecutor’s office launched pre-trial proceedings for homelessness and corruption in connection with a 2014 public tender for a new government façade in which a political party received property benefits.
