SHANGHAI – The number of corona deaths in Shanghai continues to rise despite the weeks-long and very strict lockdown in the Chinese metropolis. Authorities reported 39 new deaths on Sunday, the highest daily figure in the current outbreak. The actual numbers are probably higher.
