Through a supreme decree published today, the government ordered the extension of the national state of emergency decreed as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. The standard establishes exceptions regarding the use of preventive surgical masks.
Thus, it is indicated that in open spaces the use of said garment will be optional “in departments that have 80% vaccination coverage against covid-19 of people aged 60 and over with three doses and 80% vaccination against the covid-19 of people 12 years of age or older with two doses.”
This will be given “provided that physical or bodily distancing is guaranteed, measures that could be modified according to the epidemiological context.”
The measure became official in the supreme decree 041-2022-PCMappeared in an extraordinary edition of the legal regulations that are published in the Official Gazette El Peruano.-
The extension will be extended for a period of 31 calendar days, starting on May 1 of this year. It is specified that during the state of emergency, various constitutional rights related to freedom and security, the inviolability of the home, and freedom of assembly and transit are restricted.
It is also indicated that civil servants vaccinated against covid-19 must return to face-to-face work. Those who present risk factors will carry out remote or mixed work.
“In the case of private activity service providers who do not have the application of the three doses of vaccination against covid-19, they must provide services through the remote work modality,” the decree indicates.
Entrance to stadiums
In another section of the supreme decree, it is stated that those who did not pay the fines imposed on them for transgressing health regulations during the state of emergency, “are prevented from carrying out any procedure before any State entity.”
As for those attending sports stadiums and arenas, it is indicated that they will be asked to have the three doses of the vaccine if they are over 18 years of age. Minors, up to five years old, must have their two doses.
