UPPER SPOKES: Night to Sunday, at 02.30, the police received a message that a person was allegedly lying asleep on the ground at Loesmoen in Hokksund. As a “company”, the local man in his 50s had two dead foxes.
This is what the operations manager in the Southeast police district, Trond Egil Groth, tells Drammens Tidende.

– The police went out and found this intoxicated drunk man who was sleeping with two dead foxes. He had a dirty suit and was quite drunk, the operations manager continues.

The man told the police that he had been to a party at Steinberg, and set off on foot from there and home to Hokksund.
On the way, he came across two foxes that had been hit on Europaveien, and took one in each arm. He got tired and lay down with these two foxes. This is a classic from Eiker, says Groth with a laugh.
– What happened next with the two foxes?
– The story does not say anything about whether he was allowed to keep these. This makes readers wonder.
