Astrid Smeplass says that she has received financial compensation after the well-established rapper supplied herself with her song.

In November, Moroccan-American rapper Karim Kharbouch (37), known as French Montana, released a new album with a song entitled “How You King?”.
«Listen carefully to the lyrics and the melody. I think someone copied me », reported Astrid Smeplass (25) in a TikTok video shortly after its release.
It turned out that the introduction to “How You King?” was almost identical to the introduction to the song “Jump”, which Smeplass released in 2016.
Midway through March Smeplass’ name finally appeared – first – in the official songwriter credits for “How You King?”.
– Should be neat
On the red carpet before the Spellemann Prize, she comments on the agreement for the first time.
And according to Smeplass, it did not just end with credit.
– Then he had to pay a little, she says, without going into any amount.
– I do not think one should take action like that, she elaborates on the plagiarism maneuver.
– It should be neat. It’s good it worked out.
Shortly after Smeplass posted her plagiarism complaint, she got French Montana among her followers on social media.
Now she says that she has been in direct contact with the rapper, whose biggest hit “Unforgettable” has almost one and a half billion plays on Spotify.
