Tasks: Sony’s flagship headphones can get a new look and better battery life

When the difference between WH-1000XM3 and WH-1000XM4 was small, the differences could be even greater in the next model, probably called WH-1000XM5. The German the site Technik News has published leaked specifications and pictures of what is said to be the XM4’s successor.

The new model can get a new, slightly thinner design, possibly with less weight as a result. With active noise reduction turned on, the new XM5 should be able to be used for 40 hours, which is ten hours more than previous models. Charging should also take 30 minutes longer than before, 3.5 hours via usb-c. The headphones must use two processors for noise reduction, compared to the previous one.

No launch date is mentioned.
