This Thursday, April 21, the first-born of the Danish crown princes adds one more figure to the calendar and the royal family has celebrated it accordingly, for the time being, institutionally. Nothing else to see the Princess Isabella in her new official photos we can’t help but be surprised. Is she really only 15 years old? The truth is that it seems much older and we verified that there is no trace of that childish point that many adolescents still retain at this age. She poses like an adult woman, wearing studied outfits, two different hairstyles and a touch of makeup.
Perhaps she was inspired by Princess Ingrid Alexandra, who came of age on January 21, not only because of the choice of some clothes, but because Isabella has also ‘raided’ her mother’s closet for these portraits. The princess, as her contemporary did, has also posed with a Paul Smith suit jacket which he has inherited from Princess Mary.
He has combined it with a black and white sailor striped shirt, providing a more casual touch. The jewels are also from the Australian: some gold embellished hoop earringswhich are priced at 3,115 euros, and a necklace with sapphire charms, 1,466 euros, both from the Dulong firm. Lightly made up in nude tones, Isabella poses outlining a shy smile.
The second styling chosen for these new official photos on the occasion of his 15th birthday is the most striking. The young princess wears a green dress printed with white confetti from the French house Ba&sh Paris, specifically the Edmee model, which had already premiered last February for one of the acts of his mother’s 50th birthday. She has had a hard time recognizing it, because on that occasion she was wearing a blazer over her, black stockings, ankle boots and her hair down.
However, in this new portrait the air has completely changed making it more elegant and adult and giving it all the prominence. The garment is still available on the firm’s website at a price of 240 euros. With a midi length, a raised neckline and gathered details, it is very flattering on her and she has worn it with the same jewels as in the first image, in a new gesture of affection towards Mary of Denmarkyour example to follow.
By the way, in this reentrée of the Ba&sh dress we observe that it slightly reminds us of Cherubina’s in black and white that our queen premiered in 2019 to attend the investiture ceremony of Felipe VI as Knight of the Order of the Garter at Windsor Castle. And Isabella’s high knotted ponytail is also very Letizia, polished in the front and with slight waves behind it.
The portraits have been made by Hasse Nielsen and confirm that the granddaughter of Queen Margaret of Denmark is one of the most promising ‘teen royals’ when it comes to style. Although she only takes a few days with our Infanta Sofía, who turns 15 on April 29, it seems that both are going at different rates in terms of their adult looks. The youngest daughter of the kings continues to look simple outfits, very consistent with their age, and latest trend, although not as sophisticated as Isabella’s. Leonor’s sister, perhaps also because of that unwritten obligation to remain in the background, prefers discretion. At the moment…
The new official photos of the Danish princess kick off her anniversary and although there is no data on what the celebrations will be like, which leads us to think that they will be held in privacy, we do know that on Saturday she will have a very important date where we will see her again in public. On April 30, she will receive confirmation at 12 noon in the Royal Confessional at Fredensborg Palace Church. The officiant will be the Bishop of the Diocese of Aarhus, Henrik Wigh-Poulsen. We will then see Isabella showing off her stylistic taste.
